Christopher Rice published four New York Times bestselling novels before the age of 30. He made his fiction debut in 2000 with A Density of Souls and wrote many more novels including The Snow Garden and The Heavens Rise, as well as the Burning Girl series. Rice’s work spans multiple genres including suspense, crime, supernatural thriller and erotic romance. He has twice been nominated for the Bram Stoker Award, which is a recognition presented annually by the Horror Writers Association for “superior achievement” in dark fantasy and horror writing.

Steve Vai is a virtuoso guitarist, composer and producer who is considered by many as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. In over 40 years in the industry, he has sold over 15 million records, received three Grammy Awards and recorded with music legends like Frank Zappa, David Lee Roth, Whitesnake and many more. Vai has toured extensively and recorded live projects with G3 (collaborating with different touring lineups including Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Eric Johnson, Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Lukather) and Generation Axe, a supergroup he formed with Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nuno Bettencourt and Tosin Abasi.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, on February 11, 1932, Jimmy Carter is a founding member and the frontman of the Blind Boys of Alabama. He is the oldest living member of the group. Since the original members first sang together as children in the late 1930s (including Carter), the band has persevered through seven decades to become one of the most recognized and decorated traditional gospel, gospel roots and Americana music groups in the world. Over the past 20 years, Carter and the Blind Boys of Alabama have worked with Prince, Marc Cohn, Mavis Staples, Ben Harper, Robert Randolph and Peter Gabriel, just to name a few.

Singer, songwriter and musician Rob Thomas is best known for being the lead singer of the rock band Matchbox Twenty which was formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1995. In addition to Thomas, the group also currently consists of Brian Yale (bass guitar), Paul Doucette (drums, rhythm guitar, backing vocals) and Kyle Cook (lead guitar, vocals). Thomas received three Grammy Awards for co-writing and singing on the 1999 hit “Smooth” by Santana. He has also written songs for many other artists.
