Rick Hall was born to a family of sharecroppers in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, and was raised in Franklin County, Alabama. He moved to Rockford, Illinois, as a teenager, and then went on to become a record producer, songwriter, music publisher and musician who is best known as the owner and proprietor of the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

Yuval Noah Harari - Sapiens: A Brief History Of Humankind

Dr. Yuval Noah Harari has a PhD in History from the University of Oxford and lectures at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, specializing in World History, medieval history and military history. He also teaches a Massive Open Online Course called “A Brief History of Humankind.” More than 80,000 students from throughout the world participated in the first run of the course in 2013. The second run began in August 2014, and in its first three weeks, 30,000 students joined.

Massachusetts native Anthony Joseph (Joe) Perry formed a group called The Jam Band. After meeting Steven Tyler, Perry and Tom Hamilton, joined by Brad Whitford and Joey Kramer, would go on to form Aerosmith. The band had a string of hit records during the mid-1970s with albums Toys in the Attic and Rocks and hit singles “Dream On, “Same Old Song and Dance,” “Sweet Emotion” and “Walk This Way.”

Anne Rice Interview: "Prince Lestat" Marks Renowned Author's Return to "The Vampire Chronicles"

Anne Rice was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the French Quarter provided the setting for the author’s first novel, Interview with the Vampire, published in 1976. The book was followed by a large number of widely popular sequels, collectively known as The Vampire Chronicles. A film adaptation was released in 1994, starring Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Books from The Vampire Chronicles were also the subject of two film adaptations, Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles in 1994 and The Queen of the Damned in 2002.
